Welcome to Community Futures Parkland

Community Futures is a community-based economic renewal initiative funded by the Government of Canada and directed by local volunteer boards. Our main objectives are to help rural Canadians start or expand a business and to help sustain and improve communities and their local economies.

Manitoba’s 16 Community Futures corporations deliver a variety of services including loans and technical and advisory services for small and medium- sized businesses, services targeted to youth and entrepreneurs with disabilities, and community economic development and planning.

Community Futures Parkland (CFP) is a business and community economic development organization in Grandview, MB. We are seeking a Talented Office Administrator. The position is 30 hours per week and includes a generous Health and Dental package. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Office Administrator, is the first contact for our clients, you will provide the bookkeeping duties through a computerized accounting package, act as the secretary recording and disseminating information with and for the volunteer board.

Your skills include

• Exceptional Interpersonal/Communication skills – Written and Oral
• Strong Organizational/Time Management skills
• Computer Skills – Microsoft Office, Simply Accounting
• Good Presentation Skills – Written and Oral
• Proficient Research Skills
• Basic understanding of Financial Statements & Budgets
• Able to assist with proposal development & project implementation
• Ability to work with little or no supervision and as a team player
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle will be necessary, as travel
within the Parkland region is required
