Welcome to Community Futures Parkland

Community Futures is a community-based economic renewal initiative funded by the Government of Canada and directed by local volunteer boards. Our main objectives are to help rural Canadians start or expand a business and to help sustain and improve communities and their local economies.

Manitoba’s 16 Community Futures corporations deliver a variety of services including loans and technical and advisory services for small and medium- sized businesses, services targeted to youth and entrepreneurs with disabilities, and community economic development and planning.

Community Futures (CF) is a program that supports community economic development and builds the capacity of communities to realize their full sustainable potential.  The purpose of the CF Program is to help communities develop and implement local solutions to local problems.

2015 Volunteer Awards for Youth and Adults


It is time to nominate your local Adult or Youth

volunteer from the Parkland area!

We want to encourage people to nominate anyone they feel deserves recognition from the very young to the extremely sophisticated!


The youth who displays the most commitment to community life in the Parkland will receive an iPad mini while four other Parkland youth will each receive an award!

For our sophisticated group, Community Futures Parkland will surprise five people with a $300 cheque that they can donate to any charity group they choose!

Community Projects Grant 2015 Now Open!

Community Futures Parkland believes in the power of communities and the individuals who live in them.  We recognize that Parkland region holds vibrant communities with new ideas and proactive thinkers. Our organization supports community development and one of the ways we strive to help create community prosperity is by investing in our communities.

This year will mark Community Futures’ 15th year of commitment to the Parkland region. During that time, $149,588.00 has been granted from CF Parkland to 68 regional and community initiatives throughout the region.


The 2015 Community Projects Grant is a competitive program intended to support ideas that fall under:

  • Tourism
  • Events
  • Education (e.g. entrepreneurship, financial literacy)
  • After School Programs (preferably linked with entrepreneurship, financial literacy)


 Eligible applicants include:

  • Community Service Groups,
  • Conservation Committees,
  • Economic Development Boards,
  • Friendship Centers,
  • Non-profit Community Development Groups,
  • Schools, and Tourism Groups



Application deadline is 4:00pm, Tuesday March 31, 2015

The Parkland Career Expo is excited to announce that we will be partnering with the Kinsmen Business Expo on March 28th and 29th, 2015! All located at the Dauphin Rec Complex! Businesses and Educational Institutions will be there to answer all your questions! What an opportunity for parents and students to attend together and at the same time for those that are looking for employment to come and meet with various employers!
