About

Elevate – Second Intake

Elevate is a business start up program for youth and adults with a disability or health condition interested in starting a business. This program is delivered through Community Futures offices in rural Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta.

Funded by the Government of Canada’s Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities Program, Elevate provides assistance, support and resources to qualified individuals who wish to operate a business in their rural community.

Eligibility

Participants must meet the following basic eligibility to be considered for the program:

  • Completed PIF form that indicates the that participant meets the criteria including being EI ineligible 
  • Participants must have a viable business idea
  • Participants have a self declared disability or health condition
  • Participants must be in the “go stage” of their business – they need to be ready to launch within 3-5 months or have just recently launched. 

Elevate can provide up to $11,500 in business supports, some of these supports include:

  • Dependant Care (daycare, before and after school care, care for children/youth with disabilities)
  • Living Supports (based on needs)
  • Travel for Training
  • Adaptive Technology (specialized computer software or hardware)
  • Disability Supports (specialized aids and equipment)
  • Business Training
  • Bookkeeping Training
