Welcome to Community Futures Cedar Lake

Community Futures Cedar Lake Region is excited to be able to offer the 2022-2023 Investing in Our Futures Grant to the communities and organizations within the Cedar Lake Region.

Community Futures Cedar Lake Region is excited to announce the 2022-2023 Investing in Our Futures Grant Program!

Based on the success of the initial Investing in Our Futures Grant, CF Cedar Lake has secured additional funding to be able to offer the program again.

Some of the projects that received funding were:

  • The Sam Waller Museum (A water-cooled air conditioner unit to improve humidity levels throughout the gallery spaces and conservation supplies to update collections storage)
  • Clearwater Lake Outdoor Club (Upgrades to the washroom and installing the doors to meet Accessibility Standards, allowing the Chalet to be completely barrier free)
  • Cormorant Community Council (Installation of a new shower so that fired Department Members can safely shower off any contaminants, harmful chemicals and debris they may have obtained during a live fire or training exercise in a safe and contained environment)
  • Ralls Island Community Park (Improve the condition & extended the lifespan of current outdoor rink at Ralls Island Community Park. Funds were used for the installation of High Output LED area lighting, repairs to the existing rink boards, new 'heavy duty' hockey nets & accessories, and replacement of the snow blower for ongoing rink maintenance)
  • The Pas Community Renewal Corporation (A series of no-charge barrier-free certificate courses, taught by primarily local instructors)

In total Community Futures Cedar Lake Region awarded over $50,000 for 13 community projects. “We had an overwhelming response to the first grant and we are thrilled to be able to offer it again,” commented Joe Cote, General Manager of CF Cedar Lake. “It was gratifying to see the differences that the funds can make for community groups.”
