Community Futures East Interlake currently operates with a 14 member Board of Directors whose membership is based on nominations made by Municipal/Band Councils. The members are recruited from the business/community at large as well as Municipal Councils. Besides being community leaders, the desirable qualifications of board members include a combination of business expertise and skills, along with knowledge of community economic development. The Board of Directors represents each municipal government in the Community Futures East Interlake region.

The Community Futures East Interlake Board also has four standing committees with others formed as needed.

1. IRC – Five member committee that reviews all loan applications, and deals with arrears and collection issues.
2. Personnel – Five member committee that completes annual staff and GM reviews.  Committee also meets as needed to vacant positions.
3. Executive Committee – Made up of Chair, Vice-Chair & Secretary Treasurer, meets as needed.
4. B.I.G. Committee - Five member committee that reviews applications to our B.I.G. and B.I.G.R. programs
