Tyler King, is the CF Manitoba Representative for our Region.

Tyler has over 19 years experience in economic development. He is currently the Executive Director at Boyne Care Holdings.

Sheldon Friesen, Director - City of Morden

Sheldon spent his early years growing up in a family business and in his adult years parlayed that experience into varied sales and operational management roles in the medical, automotive,  and recreational vehicle industries.  Prior to slowing down in 2018, he owned and operated a successful advertising and promotional company in Morden for more than 16 years.  Currently he represents the City of Morden on Council, and is filling a part time roll in Customer Service.

Bob Giesbrecht, Director - RM of Stanley

Bob has been involved in the trucking business since 1985, owning both brokerage and trucking firm. Bob has also been a council member for the RM of Stanley for 11 years.

Ryan Hildebrand, Director - City of Winkler

Don McLean, Director - Municipality of Pembina

Don owns and operates a family farm in southern Manitoba and has sat on the Municipality of Pembina Council as a Councilor for 7 years.

Nathan Rey, Director - RM of Grey

Nathan owns and operates a construction business out of St. Claude.  Member of the local fire department for 16 years.  Nathan is serving his first term as a councillor with the RM of Grey.

Alex Drummond, Director - Town of Carman & RM of Dufferin

Melanie Wilson, Director - Municipality of Westlake-Gladstone

Sadie Tait, Chair - Municipality of North Norfolk

Sadie is currently a business development manager for a civil engineering corporation. Educated with a Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration Diploma (Accounting), and Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Designation.

Faron Nicholls, Director -City of Portage La Prairie

Employed for 34 years with the Province of Manitoba as a Property Manger, throughout the Southwest corner of our Province of Manitoba. Working primarily in the Portage la Prairie area. Spent many years involved with committees in and around Portage la Pairie. Looking forward to witnessing and supporting growth and success for business and residents throughout our region.

Daniel Hacault, Director - RM of Lorne, Villages of Somerset & Notre Dame

Dan is a retired farmer from Swan Lake, Manitoba and has been a member of Lorne Council since 2018. Dan has been involved with a landowner energy pipeline group since 2007 dealing with land settlement agreements, Integrity Dig Agreements, abandonment funding, long term corrosion research of abandoned pipelines, biosecurity, onshore pipeline regulations, pipeline safety including one call center and indigenous consultation related to pipeline development.

Jim has owned and operated his own business for over 30 years and has also sat as a councilor for the RM of Victoria for the last 20 years.

The Corporation shall be governed by a Board of Directors comprised of persons elected/or appointed by member municipalities.

 The Corporation shall be governed by a Board of Directors comprised of no fewer than 3 and no more than 14 Directors.

Our current board of directors is comprised of 10 males and 3 females.

 Municipal Councils shall nominate directors from persons residing in the respective municipal areas as follows:

• City of Winkler

• City of Morden

• RM of Stanley

• RM of Thompson & RM of Roland

• RM of Lorne

• RM of Dufferin & Town of Carman

• Municipality of Norfolk Treherne & RM of Victoria

• City of Portage la Prairie

• Municipality of Westlake – Gladstone

• RM of Alonsa & RM of Glenella – Lansdowne

• Municipality of North Norfolk

• RM of Pembina

• RM of Grey

The ownership and control of the Corporation is vested in the Board of Directors, who represent a cross-section of geographic and sectorial interests from throughout the region. The Corporation will strive to have gender balanced representation.  Composition of the board will aim to represent at a minimum the following sectors:

• Education / Training

• Finance

• Tourism

• Agriculture

• Entrepreneurship

• Youth

• Economic/Community Development

• Sales and Marketing

• Insurance and Risk Management

• Project and Asset Management

• Facility Maintenance

The Municipal Councils shall nominate the Directors.

Board members may be nominated by a municipal government annually for a term not to exceed nine consecutive years. If this maximum has been realized, the Board member must take a one (1) year minimum hiatus from the Board of Directors 

All municipal governments will be required to nominate an alternate to the Board of Directors.   Alternate members may be nominated by a municipal government annually for a term not to exceed nine consecutive years. If this maximum has been realized, the alternate member must take a one (1) year minimum hiatus from the Board of Directors. The maximum term will include any years the alternate might have been the nominated member.  The alternate shall have all the duties and responsibilities as if he/she were the regular board member.
