Annual Projects

  Young Women's conference.jpg

Community Futures Parkland, along with partners including Skills Canada Manitoba, ACC Parkland, MVSD, PWSD, Municipality of Russell Binscarth, and private sector sponsors, organize a conference for Grade 8 female students in Dauphin and Russell. The students meet female mentors working in the trades or technology fields, participate in team-building and hands-on activities, and receive information on employment opportunities and career planning. This conference is intended to provide female role models to young women and assist them in planning their future career.

Take the Leap is Manitoba’s Rural Entrepreneurship Conference. Visit for more information.

Junior Achievement.jpg

Our Business Development and Community Development Coordinators volunteer to facilitate 2 Junior Achievement programs every year. Facilitations take place across the region in elementary and middle schools.

 Shop it forward.jpg

Shop it Forward is an annual Spring-time campaign that promotes shopping locally and provides public education about the importance of supporting local/regional economies. CF Parkland partners with Chambers of Commerce Offices around the Parkland to ensure that the entire region has access to the program.

 CFP annual grants.jpg

CF Parkland believes in the power of communities and the individuals who live in them. Our organization supports community economic development by investing in our region through our annual grants and awards. Community groups and businesses can apply for up to $3,000 in both grant categories and you can nominate as many adult and youth volunteers as you like. This is an annual initiative with calls for applications and nominations announced at the end of November and a deadline in the first week of February. The call for applications is always announced on our website and our Facebook page.
