Youth Micro Loan Program

Could this be you? Do you have the entrepreneurial spirit to create your own summer job? Community Futures Triple R Corporation's Next Generation Micro Loan Program gives youth aged 15 to 24 the opportunity to start their own full time, part-time or seasonal business. Students must complete a simple micro loan application and a business plan detailing a viable business idea. Any business idea will be considered as long as they are ethical. Community Futures Triple R staff are available to assist students with the process.

The program provides loans of up to $2000 per business to full time students enrolled in high school, community college or university that are at least 15 years of age. The loan is for a one year period and must be in the Triple R Region. To be eligible students must:

  • Be a Canadian Citizen or legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Be a minimum of 15 years of age
  • If under 18, must have permission of a parent or guardian
  • If under 18, must have an adult guarantee the loan
  • Be a full time student
  • Have a Social Insurance number
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit!
