Community Futures West Interlake is pleased to announce that the West Interlake Community Development Project Support Initiative is again taking applications. This initiative is designed to encourage community groups like yours to take an economic development approach to maintaining your organization and growing your community.

Your community economic development project may be eligible for a matching contribution of up to $5,000 based on the following eligibility criteria:

• The project is for a new or additional development for your organization and the community.
• It creates permanent capital development or leads to the creation of permanent capital development (not for operating or programming).
• The project is accessible and available to everyone (not a specific social or single group).
• The project supports the growth of your community. It impacts on direct or future employment creation, or improves the community so as to make it more desirable for new residential or business growth.
• The matching contribution being an amount that is equal to or greater than the West Interlake Community Development Support Initiative contribution must be in place at the time of application and evidenced.

Funding for this initiative is limited, and applications will be assessed based on eligibility and economic development impact.  Priority will be given to requests that compliment the community's long term economic development goals, create employment, and the extent to which your project is ready to proceed.  Priority will also be given to those projects that can be completed by March 15, 2024. Deadline for applications is Monday, June 5 2023, 12:00 pm.
